From the Archive: Lancaster L7580 at Trafalgar Square

Photo of the week from the Britain at War archive.

Avro Lancaster B.I L7580 ‘EM-O’ of 207 Squadron, on display in London’s Trafalgar Square during the Wings for Victory fundraising campaign in March 1943.  The display next to the aircraft states that L7580 had raided Germany 13 times, including an attack on Berlin.  This Lancaster survived the war, but was Struck off Charge on November 1, 1945.
